Popularly known as Casa Furtados, we trace our history to 1935, when we served the local population with authentic Portuguese cuisine. Post-liberation we now serve our local clients as well tourists transiting through Margao station. We still use the original recipes handed down over generations and have added Indian recipes to cater to tourists as well. We have been well-known specially for non-vegetarian food and fresh fish delicacies.
The Portuguese were expert sailors and explorers and their contribution to world food and agriculture is extraordinary. The food is a unique blend of spices and styles of cooking from across the continents they travelled. Furtados brings to you the best of Chicken Xacuti, Chicken Kafreal and Mackerel or Pomfret Reshard that Goa has to offer.
